The TUTA PROTECT® pheromone mating disruption tool is an effective means of fighting the Tuta absoluta, completely safe for humans, bumblebees and other useful insects. Artificially synthesised pheromone affects males of tomato leafminer (Tuta absoluta) and makes it difficult to find females. Thus, the reproduction of the pest slows down or stops completely, thereby reducing the damage to the crop.

The product does not contain harmful chemicals and allows you to fight against Tuta absoluta in an environmentally friendly way. It is effective on tomatoes, eggplants, peppers and other greenhouse crops where this pest occurs.

Description

The TUTA PROTECT® mating disruption tool is a plastic container filled with a high-concentration pheromone and a foil barrier film that promotes its uniform release. Spreading in the air, the active substance creates a kind of cloud that creates a false trail of the female and confuses the males (disorients them).

Application

Start using the mating disruption tool in advance, before the pest appears. To determine the summer period of the pest, we recommend using deltoid or water pheromone traps.

After opening the package, place TUTA PROTECT® dispensers on plants every 5-6 metres from each other, alternating them in height from 50 cm to 1,5 metres. The placement is carried out at the rate of 300 disorientants per hectare.

Validity period

At a temperature of 20-35 ° C, the product is effective for 140-180 days. After 20-15 weeks from the moment of application, it is recommended to replace the mating disruption tool with a new one. It is allowed to be stored in a cool, dry place without contact with direct sunlight. Long-term storage (up to 2 years) should be carried out in a refrigerator.
