Pheromone for Western flower thrips

Baits contain a concentrated pheromone to attract adult male and female Western flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis). Use in combination with blue sticky traps allows the detection of thrips at an early stage in the development of its population. Pheromone baits attract 2-3 times more thrips per sticky trap compared to traps without pheromone. Also, the pheromone lures thrips out of their shelters onto the leaves, thereby increasing their vulnerability to natural enemies and chemical plant protection products.
