Water pheromone traps

Water pheromone trap consists of a plastic plate and a pheromone basket in the centre of the trap.

Target pests: Tuta absoluta.

Application: for monitoring, it is enough to use 10 traps per 1 hectare. Traps are placed around the circumference so that the distance between them is at least 15 metres, and between them and the walls of the greenhouse – 25 metres, so as not to attract new butterflies from the outside.The plate is filled with water with added oil covering its surface with a thin layer. The pheromone traps adult males, which eventually end up on the surface of the liquid and are trapped.
