LOBESIA PROTECT® pheromone mating disruption tool is an effective and environmentally friendly way to fight the European grapevine moth Lobesia botrana. The active substance affects male pests that cannot find females. The effect is manifested in the slowing down or complete absence of reproduction of the insect.

The pheromone synthesised in the laboratory is similar to that secreted by female leafhoppers and does not contain chemicals that can harm humans or plants.

Description

The LOBESIA PROTECT® mating disruption tool is a plastic container filled with a concentrated pheromone and a special film that promotes its gradual release from the container. As it spreads in the garden, the contents create a kind of cloud that knocks the males off the track of the female (disorients them).

Application

We recommend using the mating disruption tool prophylactically, even before the appearance of the first generations of the pest. Use delta-shaped or water pheromone traps to monitor the pest on plants.

Open the package particularly before use. Place LOBESIA PROTECT® tool on plants with an interval of 5-6 metres, changing the hanging height from 0,5 to 1,5 metres. The average rate of use is 300 pcs per hectare.

Validity period

The remedy retains its effectiveness for 20-25 weeks from the moment of hanging on the culture, after which it is recommended to replace the tool with a new one.

If the product is stored in a refrigerator, its shelf life is 24 months. Short-term storage is allowed in a cool place with low humidity and in the absence of direct sunlight.
