Orius laevigatus

Orius laevigatus is a predatory bug with a wide range of victims. It differs from other Orius species by a longer body shape and a different colour. This is the best biological agent to control thrips in those crops where they colonize and cause damage not only to flowers, but also to the leaves of plants such as cucumbers, eggplants, etc. It is common in northern European regions, and is suitable for use in spring.

Application of Orius laevigatus:

Orius is used at the beginning of the growing cycle in the amount of 2 individuals per m2. It is not recommended to use Orius on crops with intensive additional illumination.
