This predator controls whitefly and thrips. It is also indirectly used to fight spider mites, but it is not its primary target.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It can be viewed using a microscope with a magnification of 40-60. The actual size of an adult is 0.38 mm. The usual habitat of <em>Amblyseius swirskii<\/em> is the underside of the leaf, on which oval-shaped eggs with a size of 0.14 mm are laid. Depending on the food base, it has a colour from pale beige to brown. The approximate ratio of females to males in the population is 60\/40, but this may vary depending on circumstances. The most favourable conditions for this mite are the temperature range from 18 to 36 degrees with an air humidity of at least 60%. At a temperature of 23-35 degrees, the entire development cycle occurs in just 7 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Activity is observed at all stages of life. Females of adult <em>Amblyseius swirskii<\/em> are able to destroy up to 15 larvae or up to 20 eggs of the pest per day. This entomophage is also effective due to the absence of diapause, characteristic of many types of mites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application of <\/strong><strong><em>Amblyseius swirskii<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We recommend introducing <em>Amblyseius swirskii <\/em>mites proactively (prophylactically), even before the pest appears on plants.
