This entomophage adapts easily due to its ability to feed on pollen and integrates well with some chemical insecticides. Depending on the nutrition, the colour can vary from pale beige to brown. The size of an adult does not exceed 0.4 mm, therefore, optical devices with magnification of 40x or more are necessary for its consideration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The optimal temperatures of the operating range of <em>Neoseiulus cucumeris <\/em>are from +15 to +30 degrees. The development to an adult mite from an egg at +25 \u00b0C takes from 8 to 13 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The life span is usually 27-36 days, during which the female can lay 35-40 eggs. An adult mite is an active predator and can destroy up to 6 larvae or 7 eggs of the pest in a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application of <\/strong><strong><em>Neoseiulus cucumeris<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Predatory cucumeris mites are best introduced to plants prophylactically due to the fact that entomophages need time to adapt, spread and search for prey. This mite is used at a quantitative rate of 50-100 individuals per square metre, however, depending on the type of pest, its density and climatic conditions, the release rate may vary. A universal approach can be recommended:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Prevention &#8212; 50 mites per square meter every 2 weeks;<\/li><li>At the first signs of a pest &#8212; 100 mites per m2 every two weeks;<\/li><li>With an increased pest population density &#8212; 200-300 individuals per m2 once a week until the pest population decreases.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Packing of <\/strong><strong><em>Neoseiulus cucumeris<\/em><\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bucket 5L:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>100 thousand individuals;<br>125 thousand individuals;<br>200 thousand individuals;<br>250 thousand individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tube:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>20 thousand individuals;<br>25 thousand individuals;<br>50 thousand individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Predatory mite in the family Phytoseiidae.
